Our hotel has all the luxuries that cyclists love. Of course, you can also rent bicycles from us. Mountain bikes and several e-bikes and e-trekking bikes are available for our guests. In addition, more bikes can be rented at the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park Center. Of course, we are happy to arrange this for our guests. But of course there is also room for your own bike. Because for this purpose we have a special bicycle garage, where it is stored safely and dry. Guided bike tours are offered from the hotel!

Your day begins in our sports hotel in the Sauerland with a nutritious and vitamin-rich breakfast. Our buffet is full of healthy delicacies that will give you strength for the day. If you like it quieter, you can walk around the nearby Edersee. A special experience, especially for an excursion with the family, is the Edersee circular trail. A beautiful and idyllic path without much traffic. 50 kilometers you cycle along the lake shore. So, of course, you will also pass by the numerous attractions that await you at the Edersee. Discover the beauty of the second largest reservoir in Germany in its full glory and recharge your batteries in the beautiful nature. By the way, this route is also suitable for children.

Start bike tour directly in front of the hotel
Of course, you can vary this way as you wish. Four loops, also well signposted, branch off from it and lead you into a unique landscape. You’ll cross the border between Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia and experience why the people of Sauerland say, “Once you’ve been here, you stay here.” For example, it goes through the idyllic Werbetal, the picturesque Rehbachtal and the Schaenhäuser Hügelland. Or you can climb the flowery Frankenau meadow. Depending on the season, you will cycle through a colorful splendor that Monet could not have put on canvas more beautifully.
We recommend that you immerse yourself at least once in the Kellerwald National Park – an indescribable experience. The dense beech forests form a fresh green canopy. The sun’s rays meander their way through the crowns, and there is a wonderful smell of foliage and summer. Cycling is allowed on designated trails in the Kellerwald. However, the signposted paths do not always conform to the norm. Thus, the terrain is sometimes more uneven and the paths are narrow: a true Eldorado for experienced mountain bikers. Those who are looking for the tour through the terrain will find it here and can overcome more than 1000 meters of altitude.

Eder cycle path
You can get on the Eder cycle path in Ederbringhausen and then head towards Edersee or towards Frankenberg/Eder:

Directly on the Eder! There is free parking here, storage facilities for bicycles and battery charging lockers.
From Oberorke to Ederbringhausen/Bahnhof it is also just under 10 minutes (2.5 km) by bike.

Discover churches along the Ederradweg
Since 2018, the first church cycle path in the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck has connected fourteen churches in the Eder church district over a total distance of 110 km.
